Just saw an ad for instructor positions at AUK. Does anyone have the latest scoop regarding working conditions, salary & benefits including housing options, and overall experience there? Thanks. |

AUK has re-advertised the search for the position of director of its Intensive English Program. I would expect this institution to be more stable than the average place in the region. However, I wonder if this succession of acting IEP directors may be a red flag. |

Yes, it could be a red flag or just two people leaving for personal reasons outside of the job. I know a professor there and she is very happy with her position and situation. She said that she hadn't heard too much about the situation in IEP, which could suggest that things are tolerable, if not great. Normally everyone hears about any meltdowns.

The last director who left did not leave the country. They haven't been able to fill it in the past year. |
