By the by, why take a BUS to Shanghai - - that is so 1990s. Now there are high-speed express trains for the same price (or less!) than a bus. More comfortable and takes a fraction of the time. |
Even if the high speed train is the same price or cheaper, I'd consider exactly where my points of origin and destination are: by the time I add transport time to & from HS rail stations it still sometimes works out faster to take a bus that runs from the street just outside my compound to just around the corner from where I want to be.
And maybe my ears are hyper-sensitive, but they "pop" quite painfully whenever the HS trains enter tunnels at full pelt. |

No tunnels on the Wuxi / Suzhou to Shanghai route.
The price AND time factors between these cities favor high speed train.
Exceptions are from Pudong Airport. Bus , while much longer, is more convenient and much less hassle. |

Good to know there are no tunnels on that route (unlike Shouguan- Guangzhou, which put me off HSR) |

Back to Wuxi U - here's a link to Wikipedia page, of Wuxi education establishments.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wuxi#Universities_and_colleges
Doesn't mention the one you ask about and those that are mentioned are stubs, although haven't checked them all.
As time goes by the Wikipedia Chinese cities entries are providing more actual links.
People seeking jobs in particular areas should look at Wikipedia, at least for a list of possible aiming points. |

As far as Im aware, the only University campus in Wuxi is Jiangnan University, which contains other Colleges. I'm currently living there teaching at Lambton College, which is probably where you will be going, Im just assuming this cause Lambton employs the vast majority of English teachers in terms of Colleges in Wuxi.
Anyways, send me a pm if u want to know more about it. The nearest supermarket is 10 mins from campus-Aushan, by bus. But I heard another one closer has just opened. There are of course small supermarkets and convenience stores on campus, as well as a market not 5 mins walk from the apartments. |
