Anyone happen to have any current info about the starting pay at ARAMCO for someone with 4 yrs. of post-MA experience (which is what they are requiring -- preferably Gulf experience)? Thanks.

They have been doing some direct hiring lately, but not clear that all of the positions will be direct. There have also been recruiters interviewing in the last couple months. So... who knows...

I had an interview with them in Houston last week. The recruiter paid for my hotel room, airplane tickets, and the shuttle to/from the hotel. They were interviewing some thirty last week and are interviewing in London this week and the Philippines the week after that.

Some people were offered jobs immediately after the interview, some were told thanks but no thanks, and some were told they would be contacted later if there is a job offer.

Nearly everyone now goes through the recruitment process was explained to me by the gentlemen who interviewed me(they were both employed by Aramco). C'est la vie.

That is likely to continue, I think. The direct hire ARAMCO jobs seemed to be for particular positions... not your basic oil worker training classes.
