My son, who is 29, has an Associate's Dgree in Interdisciplinary Studies. If he were to take a month long TEFL training, would he be qualified enough to begin teaching? Is Hess Language Schools in Taiwan a good option? |

Many/Most countries demand a minimum of a bachelor's degree for visa purposes. I don't know about Taiwan. In Japan, he wouldn't be able to get a work visa with just an associate's degree unless he had 3 years of related work experience.
Why doesn't your son post here? |

Coming from North America he WON'T be able to teach LEGALLY in most of Asia with just an associates degree and a TEFL cert.
He certainly won't get a work visa in Taiwan (Bachelors degree required).

Hess is OK for starting out, though at 29, your son might be older than many of the other teachers. |
