Tributary and Otter - assume you mean you use your computer printer and buy the cartridges?

I don't own a printer, but yes, that's what I'd do if I were staying longer.

Old Surrender.
Can you conveniently plan that far ahead?
I have a certain number of pages I know I'm going to want even before the semester starts ie mark sheets and song lyrics but for the rest I only really decide when doing my lesson planning Sunday morning.

Why not plan at least a week or more ahead? I start every term with a 16-18 week teaching plan that I email to the English department office and introduce to the students in Week 1. With a solid teaching plan on hand one should be able to plan their photocopying needs well in advance thereby avoiding (or at least minimizing) problems.

I defer to your superior organisational skills 7969 Very Happy
I see my classes once per week and really find I need to review what each class has done before deciding on 'where to next?'
That said, I do have some permanent laminated resources which have lasted for my career to date. More expensive initial outlay but they avoid the photocopying route for those activities.
