Has anyone dealt with 'Wise Teaching'? Seems to be a recruiter of teachers for the summer and the new academic year.

Or a scam!

Email them with question. If they email back, you can see if it's worth applying to. If they don't reply with a proper answer to your question, leave it alone, and move on with your life. If they can't answer a simple question (i.e. is the housing shared?), why would you trust them enough to send them copies of your documents such as your passport?! Think about it.

I have to say that the name alone made me suspicious. ... like "Honest John's Used Cars." Laughing We could be wrong, of course.

Just beware... it is always best to stick to known organizations in a country like Saudi.

^Are you saying that 'Wise Teaching' is an oxymoron?
Like, those who teach are not wise. And those who are wise do not teach.

I feel like that some days!

So I applied to Wise Teaching a few days ago. What it is, is an independent contractor for AETG. He's in the Netherlands right now, and will be going to SA to teach soon. He is lining up people to work for them. He is very prompt and responsible but lacking a little bit in professionalism. He would like to finish interviews soon. So if you are interested you should apply. However, as I have been reading a lot of information about AETG...it aparently isn't a good company at all. I have an interview coming soon...so we will see what happens. I've been asking some of my Saudi students who are from Riyadh about the company and they are doing some checking for me through their families.

Your Saudi students' families wouldn't know anything about these companies. This board is the authority on that type of information.

You're right about the specifics of a company, but some of my students have given me really good advice about where to go in SA. However, I've changed my mind and am not going anyways. The interviewer answered all of my questions about AETG, but its just not going to work out. I'll leave SA to the rest of you. Smile

This is definitely AETG. A Brit colleague of mine recently hired by AETG sent them an email just to check in May and the infamous grease ball that does the recruitment answered her.

Theyll be surfacing one way or another with different names so people that dont know / havent heard their tactics listen to their all time crapola
