Hi,
I've read back through this forum and have found it hard to find definitive answers. It seems like although a degree + cert is technically required for a work permit, it's possible to find work (albeit lower-paying) in Istanbul without one. Would it be worth it to put my feet on the ground and go from there?
edit: I'm 20/m/American, 2.5 years of univ. experience. Looking at doing a TEFL program on the ground, which would allow for time to make connections and scope out the area. For the purposes of this thread, finishing my degree first is not an option - please tell me what I need to hear! Is Istanbul a possibility at all?

Anyone? Is it worth considering?

Yes, it is. You can almost certainly find part-time, low-paying work here without experience or a degree, especially if you show your good intentions by enrolling in a CELTA course, or making it known that you intend to do so ASAP.
