Hi all.
So, I've finally submitted my final assessment piece! Whew!!!
And, I've got all these text books(well, ok, about 6) that I don't want to carry around with me.
So, is anyone out there studying for their M.App.Ling. or M.A. (TESOL), and need good quality texts?? I did mine through Monash Uni in Australia.
I've got books on Research Methodology, Second Language Acquisition, Bilingualism, World Englishes, and Socio-linguistics (which is an older edition, but still good). Naturally, they're all in ok condition (though, being older, looks more aged) they're not falling apart, nor have writing all over or through them.
They are, however, a little bulky!
And worth more than the $2-$3 offered through ABE books for sending them back!!!!
If interested, please drop me a line! |

Don't need books (heaven knows I have enough an I have an MA Ling anyway), just wanted to say congratulations! Feels good to be done, huh?
Double check that you really don't want to keep any of the books. Some are still quite handy. |

hi
For Monash, you did an online course right? in China?
Are u an australian citizen?
I've been looking into courses myself, but because i'm not a resident
in the EU, i won't qualify for local fees.
As for american online masters, well, they don't even seem to publish exactly how much it costs online, but try to suck u in with how great it's all gonna be, so i thought screw them
So i was thinking australia, but i see that non-citizens have to be an extra 200 bucks a unit.
Dunno how many units there'll be, it sounds like it won't be worth it |

Hi XJ
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
I'm sort of considering Czech Republic for a long-term goal... any course taught in the medium of the Czech language is free - to everyone! This includes the BA/MA in Czech Language and Interpreting/Translating (with MA, takes a total of 5 years). Helps with getting residence in Europe )))
Yes, you do seem to be right - the price in Aus is only a little higher for non-Aussies per subject.
I'm looking to do another Masters, actually - this time in Education (TESOL) from University of Woollongong (or Macquarie Uni). They are 8 units each. (Monash Uni M.App.Ling was only 6 units) |
