My wife and I are moving back to Istanbul later this year and I've been given the task of looking into arranging for belongings to be shipped over.
I wondered if anyone here might have any recommendations. Any help would be very much appreciated

Mr Clean -we're in the same boat, so to speak. Moving back this summer, there at around the same time (1996-2003). Where did you work and where are you going? I've heard quotes from the UK of minimum 1400 qquid per container, but don't know if the firm's any good.

I was in Bakirkoy for four years '98-2002.
Haven't got work lined up yet. Only just reached the decision but still no exact time frame. It depends on getting things wrapped up at this end.
If I can't get back in time for September, i'm guessing January may be the best time to find something...
I was DoS in a dershane before but the quality of position I find this time round will probably depend on luck of timing to some extent. Despite good experience and quals, I'm not sure how much a lack of an MA will affect chances of finding work in a university.
