Hi, does anyone know about SIS (Singapore Intl School) in South Jakarta? I have been offered a job there but the actual teaching hours are quite vague and asked many time if the 22 min hours are literal hours or just periods. Actual hours would be a near doubling of the periods. With the slave driver hours, mandatory work hours running from 7 to 4, I'm not to excited about it. Should I be? Any comments about the school will be appreciated. Cheers! |

As for alternatives, what do you suggest? I have an interview coming up with Jakarta International Multi-cultural School on Monday. I've had trouble communicating with other schools like Asia Global and Kaanan. Most of the schools seem to have high principal turnovers. Most emails sent to principals have bounced. Is Indonesia not a good place to teach? I'm under-qualified for the real international schools unfortunately. Any comments would be helpful. Thanks. |
