Hi,

I read somewhere that the health checks for Aramco are stringent and it isn't difficult to get disqualified. A few years back I got arrested and taken to a mental hospital. Thanks to them, I now have a mental disorder diagnoses (schizophrenia). It shows up on my health record at the doctors as they collaborate with the mental hospital. Would I be disqualified? Is there any way to get around this problem?

Thanks,
Kevin

If I was a betting woman, I would say that this pretty much disqualifies you. If it is on your records, no way to hide it. The arrest won't help your chances either.

Time to look elsewhere I'd say...

It depends...what do the voices in your head say?

O.K., bad joke. Just to give you a taste, I have a (short) history of High Blood Pressure that is well-managed with meds. That killed my application. The background check is extensive, I'd think that they'd find out.

But, on the other hand, they can only say "No', so I'd give it the "Ol' College Try".

My well-managed high blood pressure disqualified me. I think that you'd be the same, but like with the other poster, why not apply and find out?

But, I would inform them of the situation at application so that you don't waste your time with interviews and health exams if they already know that you will be excluded.

IS, sorry to hear it didn't work out.

Do you mind if I ask if the blood pressure issue came up during the medical or when they did a medical background check? If the latter, what contact points do they use for the check, your previous employer's medical records or your own GP?
