Gosh, I hope this is 'job related.'
So I finally married my elementary school sweetheart. Now I need life insurance. I passed USAA's physical exam, but they turned me down when they found out I lived in Saudi Arabia.
OK, how do the rest of you guys handle life insurance? |

Sorry I don't have an answer to your question, but...
First off, congratulations!
Second, did they explain why you living in Saudi Arabia made you ineligible? Is it because, well, it's Saudi Arabia, and a country with fewer stigmas/stereotypes attached to it might have been OK? Or is it the mere fact of living abroad that made you ineligible? What did other insurance agencies have to say?

Paul,
Have you asked this question in the Saudi Arabia forum? Might get more answers there. |

Dear Glenski,
Unfortunately, the Saudi Forum is being blocked by the Saudi authorities, so unless someone in country can get around the block, Paul's unlikely to hear from anyone there.
However, the General Middle East forum's not being blocked (yet,) so it might be a good idea to post it on there as well.
Regards,
John |

If you have married an "elementary school sweetheart," I think you have bigger concerns than life insurance. As in, you are going to end up in the slammer. Age of consent laws vary, but I doubt that marrying elementary school girls is legal anywhere this side of rural Afghanistan. |

Zero, I have no doubt that you can easily figure out what Paul meant. His wording may not have been precise, but his meaning was clear enough. |

Dear Paul.
Why I do believe you've been called a child molester Strangely enough, that interpretation of your post never occurred to me even though I've watched many episodes of "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit." Guess I'm just too much of an innocent soul .
