I'm planning a trip to Vientiane to check out the English teaching job market and just wanted to ask if any of you have information on the type of visa a teacher would be able to get to work part-time or full-time legally and what paperwork is needed to legally work there..is it on a business visa/work permit? Is it easier than Thailand and Vietnam? Thanks for any help on this |

If you are just coming for a look get the 30-day visa on arrival. I have heard that you only get 15 days if you're flying in though, but it may depend on where you're flying from and also your nationality. Check with a travel agent to confirm. You can also get the visa before you arrive. Again travel agents have this kind of info.
If you decide to stay and work, you can get a one-year business visa. There doesn't seem to be anything in between. |
