I think Google Docs is the best way to manage files for lessons and things like that but every time i have tried to access it, i get this error message. Any one else have this problem?
This webpage is not available
The connection to docs.google.com was interrupted.
Here are some suggestions:
Reload this webpage later.
Check your Internet connection. Restart any router, modem, or other network devices you may be using.
Add Google Chrome as a permitted program in your firewall's or antivirus software's settings. If it is already a permitted program, try deleting it from the list of permitted programs and adding it again.
If you use a proxy server, check your proxy settings or contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is working. If you don't believe you should be using a proxy server, adjust your proxy settings: Go to the wrench menu > Options > Under the Hood > Change proxy settings... > LAN Settings and deselect the "Use a proxy server for your LAN" checkbox. |

I used to use Google Docs on rare occasions, but have noticed the same problem. Am guessing that, much like other Google internet services (Blogspot, Google+, Picassa) it is being blocked in China. Gmail is getting ever worse (the integrated chat rarely works for me anymore, it always used to). Google Reader, translate etc. still work alright for me. The general email still seems to be ok, but can be pretty slow.
I have noticed the online Microsoft Office services work if you have a Hotmail account, not sure if that is an alternative option for this kind of thing. It is pretty much the same as Google Docs, though I hardly use it so not sure about the functional differences. |

I've never used Google docs. What advantages does it have over other file management systems? I'm always looking for more efficient ways to do things. |

It's being blocked by the Great Firewall of China. This is a long-standing issue.
Hotspot Shield has solved 98% of my blocking issues for 4+ years.
PacketiX VPN also takes care of any remaining issues for me.
Both are FREE and give me NO problems, including my ability to signup for Google+. |

I have used HSS before but it stopped working and I couldn't get any upgrades after to work. Where can you download the latest from both programs? Torrents don't seem to work and obviously I can't get to those sites to download them. |
