|

I would like to work in the ME, SA to be specific, and have just about wrapped up my business here in the US. A few more weeks of work and then I'm a free man. The problem is that I missed the big hiring push for September. Is there another time of the year when employers hire lots of teachers? Or do jobs come along when they come along?
From reading the posts, it sounds like I should avoid recruiters like the plague, correct? Should I just come straight out and ask them if they are recruiters or hiring directly?
Thanks.

Yes, based on history, you should see some university positions pop up for January/February. But those institutions that cater to the military or corporations can appear at any time. I began two of my jobs in KSA in March.
I'm not sure there was a big hiring push for September of this year, though. I'm just basing that on what I've witnessed so far. Could be that there is just a much bigger pool of applicants this year. Be prepared for that prospect.
Some recruiters clearly identify themselves as such in their ads. You can also glean some knowledge by doing searches on specific "corporate names" on this forum.
Yes, there are some very dicey recruiters out there that will promise you the moon. When you get to KSA you find out that you've arrived on the dark side of the moon (Apollo 18's gonna be great!).
Good luck in your quest.

Interlink is currently hiring for November and January start.
Also, I've seen some adverts seeking over 500+ EFL instructors. e.g. Adwaa Rabia Group There might a bigger pool of applicants, but the demand for teachers also seems to have increased. |

I'd advise doing a search here regarding Interlink.
I have to wonder why some of these recruiters have re-posted their ads so many times over the past few months. Is it because they need so many teachers, or is it because they can't find enough teachers?
They post the same ads--no changes in any aspects of them--over and over and over again...including Interlink's ad for jobs with TVTC.

Some universities hire for the second semster whih starts in january. Beware - there are financial penalties to this which are often not spelled out in full at the reruitment stage.
Companies with training programmes recruit throughout the year. |
