Hi.
What is the average living cost/wage ratio in Malaysia for a BA (assume many years of experience and CELTA or equivalent)?
Thanks!

I notice that Malaysia does not have its own forum. Not enough jobs?

0.85

You can save some money, but not a lot.

There are a bunch of Malaysia threads lower down, under the 'Brunei Is the Greatest Place in the World' and 'How About Bhutan?' threads.

Most ESL teachers are Malaysian.

There are even fewer opportunities for expats in Sarawak and Sabah, Malaysia's two Borneo states. Still, not impossible. You can keep an eye out for job posts on jobstreet Malaysia website.

Great. What does a 'mentor' do?

The British Council seems to be huge!

Looks interesting!

Do you have any idea on how much you can live on in E. Malaysia if you're a frugal tightwad like me?
