So there are no age restriction laws. Just some institutions may prefer
certain age group of FTs.
It does make sense since their culture is so respectful of seniors. |

| There is a guideline policy which states that people over 60 cannot get a FEC. It is just a guideline not a law or rule. So, in some cases and in some places this guideline is enforced. Certainly this is not enforced everywhere, it's just one of those things in China. |

Sorry, but this is not true. No such guideline policy, or whatever you want to call it has ever been issued by the central government. Again, this may be something that has been issued at provincial level, but not by central government. |

Yankydoodle,
I think you are awsome and hilarious! Many of the young women seldom get too much attention from their fathers or male family members, due to in part by their culture or their busy work. So you are filling the void. But it does feel "weird" some how for many of us in the west: ye ye's (grandpas) become boy friends......
However, sharing your love does sound ok. May the force be with you. |

I had previously thought and posted that 70 was the upper - upper limit, even with continuous service.
The person who was dumped at age 70 has just advised that he has a new contract in a popular coastal city and that person is nearing 71 years.
Has a 10+ year China teaching record plus a great teaching style in favour.
So, I guess it can be done.
Not sure yet if it's all legal with FEC etc but I expect it is. |
