An employer can get you in quickly, but you won't have a legal work visa. It is a "business visa" which says no work is allowed. Many teachers work under these, but you have no legal rights at all in country. It is up to you if you will accept this situation. (I wouldn't, but YMMV)

Can these business visa be turned into work visas within country? I mean I can see if they bring teachers in quickly on a business visa, then once they are there working, change their status. Does that happen? Is that a legal possibility? |

Dear Fernwood,
To get the visa changed, a teacher needs to go outside the Kingdom, usually to Bahrain.

Now, you're thinking logically and asking reasonable questions, Fernwood.
STAY FAR AWAY FROM THE MIDDLE EAST!!!
It's a practical fact! |

Commenter - can you elaborate further on why they need teachers next week? |
I recently had an interview over the Skype. A technician showed up an hour before interview setting things up and even he talked to me saying he is checking thigs over to see everything is working. My interview started right on time. I could see the panel taking seats 15 min before the interview time.
The interview panel, chairman and other members were so polite and gentle that I was flattered. They all appeared very professional and interview process was veery efficient and extremely professional.
It was strange to see that your interview started an hour late without even acknowledging the fact that they were late. |
