Hi,

I am arriving in China next week. I was wondering if I need to take my uni transcripts at all, on top of my uni certificate and TEFL certificate. I don't think I do, but would like to double check. I am from the UK. Thanks.

I have never heard of a school asking for actual transcripts, so I would not worry about it. They may ask to see a hard copy of your certificates but they are not usually interested in anything beyond this.

Bring your original degree and mark sheets/other certificates with you.No need for transcripts.Sometimes the immigration wants to see the originals. In my case,I had to produce my original degree and tefl in order to get the RP.The immigration kept my originals for 4 days.

I've been at three schools and only the first one wanted to see original documents. They made it very clear that I needed to bring them with me. The other two schools were content with copies. Ask your school. Don't cart your diplomas around the world if you don't have to. I have never been asked for a transcript.

I had to submit transcripts for my first job, since I didn't have the official diploma when I applied. After that, I've only submitted scans. My diploma is at home.
