Does anyone know where I can buy a laptop with an English language keyboard only in Muscat?
I looked in the Carrefour near the airport and they had one, but the windows/Microsoft package that comes with it is only temporary, meaning the licence expires after a month. What's the point of that? To make money for Microsoft?
Back to the question. Laptop/English only keyboard/full office package/no expiry date/Muscat?

*Bump*
Anyone? The situation has become serious as the old one (5 years old) is in a terrible condition. The battery doesnt stay in position, the keyboard disconnects and doesnt allow me to type, the speakers distort sound, and steam comes out of the mic jack.
I was going to wait until November when I take a break in the UK but it's obviously on its last legs and I need a laptop for online studies.
I tried upstairs in Carrefour in the electronics shop but the sole English-only laptop there had a large picture of some cartoon character on the case, and for 350 rials I want something I wouldn't be embarrassed to take to work.
Can anyone recommend a good electronics/computer shop? |

Thanks for your reply StampLover. Emaxx? Isn't that the electronics place facing a furniture shop? If so that's the one with the cartoon covered laptop. |
