I previously posted I didn't finish a degree, but my girlfriend did. I got scared tonight when I read China wants the degree to be no more than 2 years old. We are both 38 and our schooling is as such. Does Thailand care how long ago it was? For that matter while I post, any other countries care?

If she gets a diploma from her school and transcripts come too. Here in North America we know the deal. Sealed envelope, or mailed directly to the employer, plus most likely a background check. So I bring over the diploma and transcripts and they open them up, and everyone is happy. Now my only copies are used and I want to go to work somewhere else? My school is not going to send things to Thailand guaranteed so how does that work?

Age of the degree doesn't matter (2 years ago or 10 years ago) in China or Thailand (or anywhere else for that matter). I speak from experience. My most recent degree is more than 10 years old and my first degree was earned 35 years ago.

As to the sealed transcripts. Get a few of them and bring them with you.

In regards to your CBC, they do have a shelf life (typically 6 months from date of issue to date of use) but you should only need one set (unless you pick a crap job to start with - bad news because changing jobs often entails leaving the country and changing your visa / getting a new visa as well.)

Quitting is not just a matter of giving notice and walking across the street to a new job.

Also, you don't send your originals until you are ready to actually process the visa. Scans and copies are all you use during the job application phase.

Sorry, my background is biology which is medical short for Complete Blood Count. What was your CBC shorthand for?
