I know this is trivial and probably a stupid thing to bring up.. but why does the Time shown at the top if the Forum topics page different than mine. (The time now is Thu May 13, 2004 4:07 am) Your time seems to be about 20 minutes ahead of my clock. I signed in at 4:07 AM by the time posted on the forum, but my computer clock said it was 3:43 AM.. Sorry about being nit-picky.. Just wondering why ? Sometimes those little things just eat at you.. Laughing

the time stamp on the forums is that of the server on which it is hosted. That is the main reason why most of us see a difference...we are not in the same timezone.

Now, as far as those twenty minutes go, it is proably due to the server time being a few minutes ahead and your computer clock being a few minutes behind....

Wow.. I didn't expect any answers to this once since it seems so trivial.. you know it is almost like seeing a picture on the wall slightly askew... don't you have the urge to just reach out and straighten it?

The answer is simple. The server that the forum is hosted on has its clock set wrong. Useful to know if you ever have to do any detective work.

"detective work" ?

Ah yes, I remember that Stephen of Jubail had to do some detective work after some malicious posters claimed to be working at his place.

Watch out. The spirit of Sherlock is alive and well in Cyberia !
