Anyone have any info/insights/knowledge on S&T Group recruiting ESL teachers for King Saud University? Are they new ? I'm receiving a job offer without ever having had an interview! |

Hmm..no interview? Is it a direct hire? How is the contract?
I sent in an application to them too as they told me its a direct hire opportunity. But lately, all these recruiters have been wasting my time by being misleading. |

As much as it may hurt, go direct with brand names, or don't go at all. All of these posts about fly-by-nighters that pop up regularly are wasting your time and ours.
It's the hard truth, I just wish that the world economy weren't so bad as to drive otherwise discerning individuals to desperation! |

I would say that statement should be enough to make anyone run and I mean RUN in the opposite direction.

S&T was the agency that connected my husband with his current post. The guys from S&T were a bit late with their replies but their client, my husband`s employer is wonderful. Compared to everything I have been reading here, my husband has mostly good things to say about his school. So I guess it depends on who you work for eventually. And they do deduct 6% annually. |

Considering that there's no income tax that's a 6% for giving him a job and separating from his family. al-hamdillah!
It's the nicest thing I can say! |

Wait... the recruiter takes 6% from the applicant?? Are you kidding? Just when I thought Saudi jobs couldn't get any worse.

Something seems amiss. I too have been given an offer without an interview. And they haven't mentioned anything about the medical check or the police report. They're "processing the visa" with the Saudi embassy and at this point need my signed contract (that I haven't sent them yet) for a "visa invitation".
Even if I don't wind up going with them, it's okay. I have a job that begins next week in Mexico. For the future, I'm looking for possible jobs in Oman. I've just heard too much negativity and not enough positivity about Saudi Arabia. |

s and t are currently hiring for Education Experts - I have a contract which I didn't take from them. The wording and benefits are the same as other Education Expert contracts.
Last resort for me. |

I received a job without an interview also.
I didn't even know I was that far in. But first a girl asked for my passport etc.
Then somebody else sent me an email saying congratulations!
Education Experts does it again! |

The two of you might be fabulous teachers, but can you imagine the swarms of nutcases, drunks, and losers this kind of hiring process dumps into the Faculty lounges?

Thats a good point. I dont know if itd be a good job or not, but even if it were, it may be a difficult situation if absolutely no criteria is being used to hire teachers. I consider myself a good teacher, but I may be stuck dealing with several other not-so-good (to say the least) teachers. |

you cannot make such an assumption as to who you might or might not be working with that is "not so good" teachers.
but on the case of criteria you are right. i too was offered a job but was not made aware. i asked him if the offer you are giving is the same you advertised on here and nothing was replied to me.
