just a word of warning to anybody in japan on a holiday visa or thinking of coming to japan with a holiday visa and maybe staying for work......

i came from oz on a holiday visa cos i wanted too check out japan first to see if i could cope with staying here.........after doing some travel and some thinking i decided yes i could stay for a year or two.....

so i applied for 3 jobs and got offered two of them and flunked one of the interviews (ECC) < they had 10 of us in on the day and said they were giving only 4 positions.......sounded like crap to me

anways my visa was going to expore before immigration cold finish issuing certificate of eligibility too my prospective employer......

so i flew to korea for one night..........

NOW The TROUBLE....upon trying to get back into japan....even with my feeling the arrival card as tourist ....... they noticed that i had only just left japan the day before and flown straight back......they had me and two other gaijin sitting out the desks near the immigration office trying to explain ourselves......

GO HOME I was told.........It seems they are having a crack down on people that leave for one day ad come back. seems they dont want us or something........

anways after a 45 minute interorgation i was allowed back in.

they wanted too see a departing ticket too australia which i dont have cos i dont intend to go back cos immigration are proccessing my visa........

upon hearing this that made one guy determined too send me back to AUS....

anyways this is just a warning too be careful.......if yu come into japan on a holiday visa......make sure yu start interviewing for jobs very early in the piece if yu decide yu intend too stay..........

for those who are about too do the leave the country for a day thing now.........good luck in coming back in thru immigration
