I posted the same question on the Omani forum while waiting, waiting, waiting for my Omani visa to be approved. Now that I have a KSA job offer I thought I'd post the same question here to see just who is personally currently dealing with the KSA issues.
Feel free to PM if that feels more comfortable to you.
Thanks. |

Dear Win Some Lose Some,
Not sure if you're aware of it, but this forum is being blocked in Saudi (and has been for about ten months.) As a result, only teachers using VPNs are able to post on the Saudi Forum while in-country.
There have been a few - but not too many.
Regards,
John |

I've mentioned this in other threads, but you can use a free proxy service called Toonel to get around Saudi's web security. It's slow, but effective, and I used it to post here while living in Saudi.

Yes, I was aware of that. That's why I went ahead and signed up for one year with a VPN now before getting a gulf job and moving into a censorship zone. |

| Here in KSA. Apparently the Saudi Forum has been officially unblocked. No VPN. |

| In Riadyh, have a 1 bedroom apartment. Takes 15 min to get to work. Go to the gym before work, not too shabby so far. |
