Well, I got this offer from EdEx. Unfortunately, I've had a very difficult time getting any offers due to being an older teacher though I have very good work experience, ESL credentials and such. So, I was certainly considering it since I really need a job.
Most threads I read discussing the pluses and minuses of one's likely treatment by an employer are mixed reviews. This one, however, seems quite unanimous in its dire warnings regarding working for the this employer and even of the likelihood of not getting paid at the end of the contract.
So, as much as I need to find work, I have to reluctantly conclude that this would be a case of jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire.
Also, other than enforced teetotalerism saving them from alcoholism, I haven't heard much of anything supporting a positive view of living in KSA. So, the combo of those 2 factors means I'll keep looking for a decent employer in the KSA and other GCC countries.
Thanks for the helpful feedback. |

Saudi's much, much tougher when John and I were there. Best of luck, WSLS!
It's all due to the recruiters! |

Good decision. Money is also good in KSA, even if they don't pay on time or when promised. So that's the other reason besides drying out that it might be good to go there. However, many people say they would rather work in Oman for even half of what they made in KSA. In any case, there are better employers in KSA than Edex, almost any other offer there would be better. |

There is Saudi firm that sometimes recruits teacher call Al Falak. Treated EFL teachers very fairly in years past. |

In truth, they're known and, in truth, I've never heard a negative comment...a good sign, I think!
It's not a positive, but certainly NOT a negative! |

During your search for work in the Kingdom of Humanity, just be sure you keep away from the European Centre. As someone else here has a habit of saying 'It's Scary' |
