The water in the street is moving uphill away from the normal drainage and the current is starting to increase. This is my best early warning system. We were registered this morning for possible evacuation to the school. I have about an 18" cushion before it enters the house. I am in no danger but it sucks sitting here isolated with a broken shoulder.

We got about a six inch increase in the water level in the street in front of the house today. It's is now halfway to my knees when I walk through it. The water is gradually inching up the driveway and I can see water touching the house from the canal in back. It is still dry in the house. I hope they are trying to balance what comes in with what goes out. Keep the updates coming. Bangkok Post does not broadcast in English on the weekends.

I was just informed by a neighbor that they were expecting a 3 foot increase in the water level here this evening. I am taking what I can and moving upstairs. An additional 3 feet will leave me at chest level in the street. Nothing yet has moved this quickly so I am hoping that it is overstated.

I have a flight booked for Thailand on the 9th November. Reason for visit to close a bank account with the KTB. They would not let me access/close from the UK. On phone they said i would have to visit with passport and card in hand!!!

Retarded or what!! This is before i found about about flooding!!

I have an economy restricted flight so can't change anything. Any advice about where not to visit, especially in BKK? Any thoughts about this situation welcome

I am OK got out in the back of a trash truck. Most of the Rangsit area is flooded waist deep. The house was 1/4 from flooding when I left. I am now in Hua Hin until it drains. Thanks all for the assistance.
