How many of you are in Oman or living the expat perception of life in a foreign land? Wow, I'm special, I'm in Oman, I own a 4 wheel drive, I speak Arabic, I have a liquor licence, I, ,I , I.......

Is the quiz night at the Rad the highlight of your week, Drinks at any of the 5 star bars or shopping at Qurm your perception of life in Oman? Wadi bashing, I only mix with locals, I can't stand this that and the other thing............

Or do you think you are a step above the expats because you really relate to the locals?

What is the the appropriate style of life here?

Given the circumstance of work and cross cultural interaction can we ever be more than aliens in a foreign land?

Do you believe you are special just because you are living in a foreign country?

Well then wait because I have help for you, as we all are just children of the universe, take it from Space Teacher, who as the name implies, has been around and has come to the realisation that we are, wherever we are and it doesn't matter what we think we know of the place/ culture/ country we are in, just accept it and be tolerant and stop judging each other.

I know you are thinking "who the hell am I to tell you this": stop judging me and just accept it. Move on. There are better things to worry about.

Response to this thread is a futile act as it immediately proves that you are someone who cannot accept others points of view. Move on and start your own thread. Really move on and start your own thread. No need for snide remarks or witty repartee, forget it.

A rhetorical thread, NO response is needed!! No response is needed!

You can't stand it, can you, you just have to respond, well don't! Follow the thread of this and move on................ I dare you!

Life begins now........................

This is the final post of Space Teacher, so long and thanks for all the dates.
