You also mentioned in another message that you were trying to change the school.
Therefore, most schools dont like teachers who want to try to change things and prefer to work with teachers who are flexible and understand their job. It's best to lick the crack that is feeding you rather than attack it. A simple elementary truism. And yes all of us are prostitutes, some are high class hookers and others are street walkers. I did write that and edited it out. I just tried to do my job.
Anyone who's been here a while knows the reputation of IPS/AIS. Change wouldn't be good enough for that organisation. A "do over" would be in order. |

I think you have posted about 8 posts, started the thread, contacted someone in the USA, well, this was due to the fact that you wanted some kind of change. In fact, read your posts and you are very specific about the changes you want and I suspect tried to implement. It did not work and you were sacked-according to your posts. Furthermore, the comment related to the Nazis was also interesting-any expansion on that topic?

First off I never said about change. I clearly stated in my first post that I sent the original post to get information. I never issued a list of demands and only stated the reasons to support my opinion. These reasons were not only my experience at IPS/AHS, but that of two other teachers there to again support my opinion. I was not fired for writing here and it has been a year since I left. My motivation is information, and announce at how teachers as a whole are treated at the school, and teachers that don't care about anything beyond what they can get in money, screwing everyone including their students. Next time before making an inane comment why not look up what a Kapo was and how they behaved.
To be honest you have yet to say anything that holds any bering to the topic, and I have yet to read anything intelligent or intellectual from you. Instead what I see are inane potifications of incorrect readings, mixed with personal attacks and insults. Sorry, I don't have the time for you.... |

| I guess I can only speak for myself esbam2002, but I'm not offended. I doubt anywhere else here is either. If I "feel anything" about it, I guess I could say that I "feel" your comment was extremely silly, but, to be honest, that's pretty much it. |

AHS still holds the title for "Worst Job (teaching or otherwise) That I've Ever Had". I lasted about 6 weeks.
I would also be somewhat suspect of anyone who continued to work there long-term. |

| That's fine 1st SGT Welsh....actually very few of my comments get direct to you since even though I don't agree with you on everything, on this topic several teachers agree with me and the Kapos analogy, foreign teachers, Vietnamese English teachers and adult students as well. I wish I could take credit for the term "Prostitute Teacher", but really it was one of my adult students that told it to me....I can agree that you at least bother to write in an intelligent manor most times with bearing on the topic at hand, and not spout inane pontifications of incorrect information....though people seem to be more focused on this issue than the real issue at hand, but I think that is by design....happens in most forums and chat rooms to derail the actual topic.... |

| esbaum makes a lot of good points about overly-conforming esl teachers, not the ones that ride out until the end of a term, but ones that go above and beyond to kiss up to the 'managers' in said schools. |
