Well, I had a conversation with two teachers that teach on a military base here in Korea. My friend was a certified teacher and he was asking about how the jobs work at the DOD. These teachers informed us that they usually didn't post openings as they came up. They advised him to submit his resume on the website, and that they typically look up resumes when they fill a position. So in other words, don't wait or expect them to post open positions on the internet. Hope this helps!

I head this too. My friend told me first preference for these jobs goes to military dependents and then to those who used to be military. His advice was to get to know people on that base and then when they pull the resumes your resume miraculously floats to the top as the one the school headmaster recommends for hire.
