A few months ago my seven year-old class was studying a unit about clothes. For the final project, to bring the vocabulary to its climax we made a "What Are You Wearing" poster to hang on the wall. I took polaroid pictures of all the little kids, and then next to their picture they wrote-My name is .... I'm wearing .....pants and a ....shirt. So I wrote "My name is Yuki. I'm wearing blue pants and a green shirt" on the board as an example. The kids took a while to write their answers out but we finally finished, and I stuck the poster on the wall. Success. Way to go kids. The next week I rolled back into the same classroom to prepare for that same class. When I was taking my shoes off at the door I bent over and got a closer look at good old Miho's rendition of her outfit. Next to her smiling face she had written "I'm wearing orange pants and a brown sh*t." Well class Miho. Well Class. |
