Cartago I do agree most people are nice, everywhere in the world in fact. Its the 5% minority however that can really do the damage.

Er, excuse me, but that phrase seems to have had a true ring to it for a number of years. I'm not defending the person who made the statement just commenting on the ironic dimension to it.

Anyway back to the op, looks like all you backpackin, dershane dwellers who take teaching as just a hobby will have to start getting your sh*t together, not before time imho.

I'm pretty sure it is going to happen this time. Reducing the cost of residence permits by a large amount was part of it.

Dont make this difficult....just apply for a residence permit and follow the process. This will negate the tourist visa ever changing saga.
