Book beside the bed: About 5 or six different books, including one about transporting Einstein's brain across America, one about walking from Poland to Istanbul at the time of the dissolution of the USSR, 2 novels by orhan Pamuk, and a brilliant little thing by Tim Moore about London's monopoly board squares.
On the TV: At the moment, nothing, because I am at school. Also, I dont tend to watch much tv. Last night, however, BBC had a whole evening of great docs-- Human Instinct, etc. Brilliant.
What's in the glass:empty tea glass right now, might have a glass of Cappadocia wine tonight
On my feet: my favourite brown leather clunky-heeled zip-up boots
On my skin: um, soap residue? Oh, and my black swingy skirt and stripey Parisian green and purple turtleneck shirt.
On the stereo: lots of things-- just made yet another compilation cd for my discman, with some Turkish stuff, some Tom Waits, Jeff Buckley, Cyndi Lauper, Elbow, old Waterboys, etc.
The weather outside: very changeable so I can't comment. Currently sunny with some clouds and a coolish tinge.
What I plan to teach tomorrow: We'll have to see if my students actually show up... only a few came today and wednesday/thursday are holidays. If they come we'll be reading Pride and Prejudice, Insh'allah |
