I've been reading up on the different types of certificates, and I've found that there are few schools in the U.S. that offer CELTA programs. Does anyone here happen to know either personally know or know of a website that lists the CELTA program registration and course dates?

I've just graduated from college, and I'm looking to take the course sometime this fall.

I've also read that some CELTA certification courses are cheaper in other countries - particularly Asian nations, which is the region to which I'll eventually be travelling. What are the advantages/disadvantages of taking a CELTA course in another country rather than domestically?

Check out the Cambridge homepage on CELTA for direct links to US-affiliated schools....

Siagon, Beijing and Bangkok are all around the $1500 mark, but it's the low living expenses and local contacts that sway it for me. By doing a CELTA in one of those places I could save around $1000 over doing it locally and hopefully improve my job prospects.

Bangkok: http://www.eccthai.com/

Beijing: http://www.languagelink.com.cn/celta/

And here's the central CELTA site:
