Melon, you're overlooking the fact that an FT cannot apply directly for their own RP or FEC and that it must be done through the employer, So sure, the FT can try to pressure the employer to get it done, and although it's ultimately the responsibility of the FT to HAVE the RP it's the responsibility of the employer to obtain it, and if they sit on their thumbs there's not much you can do.

So today I was told the fec book arrived and I was taken to the police station and got there at about 4pm and they took my passport and said come back in a week to collect it.

And the kicker is the girl who took me there said she was too busy to do it today so how about we go tomorrow. I held firm that it get done today so she begrudgingly took me there and back.

No kidding, they waited till the last minute!

Oh and get this - I WAS ASKED by the program manager's secretary why I waited to the last minute to do this! Like it is in my power to do this.

They finally fired the last assistant/ minder we had. Incompetent. Told us to lie to the police. Lost another teachers FEC. We had to force her to go to the PSB to process our papers and residence permit. Did not tell us schedule information. Stole money from another FT... Took 3 months to even get us cafeteria cards so we can eat at the school (The new one took 1 day).

SO things are looking better here now...
