So what exactly is the current pay range? GWW said it was low, but currently what is it? Golden Bridge can you give us a range?

not sure if this is the correct forum to be talking about this in as others may think it is promoting the company, we have a position available now and an advert on this website and others which clearly explains the position including the requested information

I am sure that just because they joined right after the initial post was made had no bearing on them joining the forums at all. Coincidence, to be sure.

As for the ad:

I wondered if it is anywhere nearly as competitive as the 16,000 a month, 14,000 a month, 12,000 a month or even 10,000 a month that many other for-profit schools are offering on this very job board?

So after searching, I found it:

The hours for these positions will generally be Monday to Friday with 4 or 5 classes per day spread between morning and afternoon. Each class is usually 40-45mins. Overtime and extra classes are also sometimes available. The salary range for these positions is 5000-8000 yuan per month depending on experience and qualifications.

These are the questions I would ask before I sign up:

1. How much exactly does the position offer? 5000 or 8000, or something in between?

2. What time must one be at work and what time may one leave?

3. How are utility bills handled and how much do they run a month?

4. Which part of the city is it in (new part or old part)?

5. How many kids per class?

6. What material is used for teaching?

7. Are there mandatory office hours?

8. Any work that is outside of teaching? (handling out fliers, dressing up in a clown outfit, attending parties and ribbon cutting ceremonies)

9. Are teachers rented out to other schools?

So, who cares? They were straightforward and open about who they were and gave a response that was in line with the topic. Perhaps they joined specifically to answer this question, what does that matter?

I wouldn't say there was much in regards to promotion (other than saying they liked working where they did) and the poster is happy to talk with individuals privately if they have other questions.

Seems to me that something is being made out of nothing just to stir things up.

You never noticed that the initial post in this thread was made on 31 Jan 2006? Golden Bridge just joined the forum a couple of days ago. Trying to discredit people on this basis does the forum no favours.

I did notice that the initial post was several years ago. But someone is now at present wanting to work there and posted about the school and obviously that is the post I am referring to. The poster had concerns and asked for help from anyone who knows the school and/or Dongying. I qualify in that regard because I used to live in Dongying. I am not trying to discredit anyone I am simply laying out the facts as I see them and as I personally experienced them, which is why I provided a list of questions one can ask the school.

So my purpose is to help the person who asked the question, not discredit the one who defended the school.

I hope that clears up any misunderstanding?

And note I did not vote on the poll...
