| Ok I see your point. I do it for my students not my employers. Fair enough if they treat me fairly which they do, then I don't mind doing a bit of extra. I get taken for meals, days out etc - give and take. But I do not simply give. |

IMO English corner was a highlight of my teaching experience in China.
What do you do? TALK!!!
You're there to help the students learn English & one of the best ways is to chat with them, Informally & out of the classroom setting. There's never a lack of subjects &, in my experience always a group of students who want to chat.
Look for the good side of things & you're sure to find them. |

An update, after the first week...
All the FTs including myself refused to do another one. It wasn't an English Corner but an IELTS oral review class. (Which they actually really need, as I don't care what advanced English/ liguistic degrees the CTS here have bought, the CT here JUST CAN'T SPEAK PROPER ENGLISH)... |
