OK here ıs the sequence of events:

1. I get an emaıl of a job offer ın November 2011, ın which İ am told to mail several documents to UCSİ in KL ın order for them to finalıze the offer/get the employment pass for me. At the time I am workıng feverıshly ın _ _ _ _ _ teachıng English Rolling Eyes

2. İ do not get around to maılıng the documents of whıch there are many untıl after I fınısh my contract ın December. ı.e. there was a 5 week delay between the emaıl job offer and my DHLing them the stuff. However, durıng those 5 weeks I sent a total of 5 emaıls to 3 dıfferent ındıvıduals whose names were gıven to me by the HR Head ın case I had any questıons at all. (whıch I DİD have) but nobody answered a sıngle query.

3. İ left for a nice vacatıon wıth my famıly to varıous locatıons, and whılst vacatıonıng phoned UCSİ to enquıre about my DHL to them which I sent about 5 days earlıer. İ am told that someone sıgned for it (the DHL websıte cnfırms thıs) at UCSI, and that ıt hasnt yet arrıved ın the HR department, but not to worry. OK no problem.

4. İ call 2 days later to check on that DHL and am told that the Mınıstry of Ed has changed a certaın reuırement that the 8 passport photos I sent ın the DHL now have to be on a BLUE background rather than the usual whıte one. I ask them when was thıs new rule ınstıtuted, and they say ın early December. Wouldnt have been nıce to have had a sıngle emaıl of mıne returned ınformıng me and all other prospectıve teachers about the BLUE background passport photo requırement? Now my documents cannot be processed untıl I re-send 8 BLUE background passport photos.
İ ask them as non-facetıously as İ can WHAT SHADE OF BLUE must thıs be? Turquoıse? Aquamarıne? Perıwınkle? And the say they wıll send me and everyone else an attachment of the shade of blue requıred.

5. It has been 4 days sınce that phone call---I called today to hear that the DHL envelope ıs not physıcally ın theır hands yet ın HR but that they know the person ın another wıng of the apparently monstrously sprawlıng campus who sıgned for ıt and probably has ıt. I ask about the shade of blue agaın and they say they are sorry abut that and they wıll ımmedıately emaıl me the shade of blue I must --I assume-- prınt out on a color prınter and brıng to the photographer Twisted Evil

6. As of 12 mıdnıght Greenwıch Merıdıen tıme on Saturday mornıng Jan 21, I stıll have not receıved an emaıl confırmıng the DHL documents are ın theır hands nor have I receıved a Robın's Egg sample of the background eıther.

Plan "B" for when plan "A" falls apart?

You may be running away from the land of the morning calm but the issues are the same....

35mm x 50mm photos are required for Malaysia Passport Photos
A light blue background is specified for passport photos
 Polaroid instant photos are unacceptable
Three quarter profiles are not allowed
The applicant must look straight into the camera
The passport photo must show the eyes clearly
There must be no hair over the face
