I knew that Scot, but then my maternal grandfather was a Norseman who came to America and married the daughter of Svensk farmers. On my father's side, I have English, Irish, and Scots with a big of German mixed in.

Good thing that I have never liked the taste nor the high of booze. Cool

(PS: Hey Lall... your taste in music suggests that you are nearly as old as Scot and me. Laughing)

Hey Scot... I'm counting on you to give SJ the punishment he deserves since you are closer. Laughing

LOL. The chains and manacles SJ alluded to in a recent post decrying the travails of heterosexual coupling suggests you may well be right, Scot.

It's the couple bit I object to. The coupling part's fine!

Just the right amount of good-humoured banter that's needed to keep a thread alive! Good going, me hearties!

Just over the proverbial hill. And beginning to experience life in a manner fuller than earlier.

Yes, I had a few responses to SJ's last post, but didn't want to get us locked. Laughing

So... SJ... have you managed to avoid that part of the aging process?

Thankfully, no!

I follow the old rule of masticating a morsel 32 times, if it's vegetarian and 40 times, if it's non-vegetarian coupled with the "drink plenty of water" rule. Seem to work, particularly with the digestion and bowel movement.

And, yes, I skip dinner, once a week.

And, no meat or fish on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Requires a lot of self-control, though.

Well, thank god for that, SJ. More information than we really need, but surely we can sleep easily tonight knowing you're on the straight and narrow.
