Why? What is the cause?
Life without spiritual faith?
Do you think the suicide rate will diminish if the UK is outside the EU?
I doubt it.

Why? Salary is not good? Teaching hours too long? Ofsted 'police' regime?
Do you think these problems will be solved if the UK is outside the EU?
I doubt it.

I'm afraid you've wasted your time there. I was responding to another posters claim that I had no examples of the Tory party's record in Britain. |

I wasn't asking for hand-picked examples of recent policies of a government of which I'm not a particular fan, (that's possible to do with any government in order to try to discredit their party) I was asking for examples to support your glib statement, "Never trust a Tory". |

Guilty by association
It's a bit fatuous to say that you're a Tory but don't agree with their policies and those policy's implications. |

Don't be ridiculous. I am a Conservative, because the principles of conservatism fit my view of the world, in exactly the same way that the principles of socialism, or liberalism, or whatever, don't. By supporting those principles, and having done so for more than 40 years, I think that gives me the right to be critical of any government that purports to represent those views, when I believe that some of their policies are not true to the principles of conservatism. |

In my lifetime I can't think of any Tory principles that have actually helped the UK progress. It's always about looking after a privileged few and the rest is just cannon fodder. If that's the party that you find yourself most ideologically associted with then so be it.

I suppose that depends how long your lifetime has been, but in mine I saw a definite progress in the 1980s, compared to the 1970s. |

Dear grahamb,
Yup, short for Victoria - but she was quite short, anyway.

I am still waiting for advice from the spectre of Charles Edward Stuart but he has not yet appeared to me in a vision.
I find myself wary of the Whigs. |
