Can anyone give any info on the current situation at PNU?
ICEAT is no longer the contractor for PNU. |

I was told that ICEAT paid on time during the year. She's still waiting for her end of contract bonus... |

My contact person who just finished her contract at PNU with ICEAT this past July. She informed me that ICEAT always paid her on time but that they're no longer at PNU. |

If your contact person was just there two months ago, why not ask her how PNU is? It's highly doubtful the situation (whatever that means) has changed since July.
What are you specifically asking about? |

I'm wondering what it's like to work at PNU for EdEx and SBC this year. I've already asked her about PNU. Since she worked for ICEAT, she can only give me details about ICEAT- not SBC and EdEx. Unfortunately, ICEAT is no longer at PNU. |

I don't see what anyone would have to say when nothing has happened since your friend left. Have there even been any classes yet? Have they even hit the first pay yet?
Basically do a search here and google of the new recruiters to see their track record. As yet they have none at PNU.

Both SBC and EdEx were contractors at PNU last year as well as ICEAT. I'm sure they have a track record but a lot of the posts about SBC and/or EdEx on this site are pretty old. If anyone can mention anything about this past year (2015-2016) I would really appreciate it! |

Nomad Soul, the situation at PNU is constantly changing.
The English class set up is changing this year. Nobody is quite sure how. Probably delivered within the faculties rather than PYP.
Rumour has it that contracts have ended and teachers will sign new contracts after Hajj, meaning no eid pay! |

Didn't your contact have any communication with the other teachers who work with the other contractors? I envision a faculty room with all the teachers having a daily "my contractor is so much better/worse than yours" discussion.
She would still seem to be the best possible source.

Yeah, PNU has always been an iffy work situation. That's not new, which was my point. Not to mention there's likely to be more belt tightening with teachers' contracts.
Anyway, the OP apparently wants to know which is the lesser of two evils: SBC or EdEx. |

According to my friend, there was no faculty room where they could comment on their contractor. They were assigned to cubicles! |

Cubicles are the standard these days for us slaves. There is usually a break room though... or at least there was at every sizable university where I taught in the Gulf.
But even without either, I presume that teachers do encounter each other regularly... even in the room full of cubicles... hallways... supermarkets... buses... apartment blocks. I never found teachers to be shy about sharing things. In fact, often too much.
