Just that I think you should be aware of some sad conditions in a few of these places...�HOMBRES�with huge rifles or shotguns standing �guard� on virtually every streetcorner, rolls of razor wire �decorating�most private residences and businesses, mangey, half dead dogs scouring the streets for garbage (AND LEAVING PLENTY OF THEIR OWN), and generally polluted and chaotic condiitions abounding...  |

NOW WAIT JUST A MINUTE...Just exactly what was it that you expected to find?...after all, this is considered a �missionary�opportunity in a �third world country� (or so some may say) - teaching can be difficult in the best of situations - so make the best of it...what else can you do?? What I see is an intense desire to become a �little AMERICA (USA) - at the expense of an awful lot of dirt poor street people. I�m earnestly searching for the compassion...  |

| Oh?...So when did you're personal observations ever become important? If you feel that you can genuinely help in a challenging situation - then by all means DO TRY! If you feel the need to RUN....then do it expeditiously!! Please remember one important point though - it is only in giving love and truth that love and truth may be revealed unto you. WORTH!!!???? Why that's worth its weight in gold! Interesting to note that...  oh, what's it all worth anyway??? Are we in a position to effect any great change in this tired, sin-sick World? Possibly...if we hold true to our ideals. Still, events do seem to be quickly spiraling out of control. What, then, to do? Is CHRIST indeed the answer for broken lives? 
Share the Gospel with them and (trusting that God is true to his WORD)
let HIM change them! Novel idea...simply novel!!!! |

| What!!!...Whoa....what snuck in here...possibly some sort of promotional interjection?...or worse. Well, now that its here I guess checking it out won't hurt - or will it? Some things I do know about Japan's culture: they are sorely in need of spiritual renewal (not that many of the teachers who go there could care), economics has definitely become the 'god' of the modern era (and I'd guess that there is some rather good money to be made there) - but the culture itself is slowly but surely destroying itself. Maybe Peru will fare better....with 'quality teachers' like you of course... |
