A few beers and a whole lot of this cleaning alcohol that passes for drink here in God's country. I thought I deleted this post when I came to my senses. Guess it didn't work. Back on solid food tomorrow. Moonraven has been publishing academic work and been a tenured professor since before any of us were born. Who are we to argue? If she says George W himself flew a plane into a building then it's true. She is in Mexico which as we all know is the intellectual center of the world.

Moonraven you are a princess among mere mortals. You rule. You are "da woman."

I sometimes think Moonraven is a short fat computer geek who lives in his mom's basement and is having a go at all the other posters.

You're in heaven and the booze is lousy. Next you'll be telling us the angels are sexless.

I'd better start being a little naughtier in life or I may end up joining you afterwards.

Is650--Seems to me you're not as good as some of your compinches as identifying folks on this forum. Moonraven is a professor in the same system of universities in the same state where you are--but not a "B". She is a little over 5'9", and only "fat" where it counts. You should look a fraction as good as I do at my age--in fact you probably don't now. (Men tend to age more rapidly than women.)

Moonraven is also against tenure--and has been since she began teaching in universities in the US 36 years ago....

Oh Moonraven you are experienced, educated, articulate, fat where it counts. One feels, however sometimes from your posts that you are still a little egotistical you should try a little self parody like Ludwig the real hero of Dave"s ESL cafe.

Self parody would be gilding the lily, don't you think--with several posters getting their jollies parodying my name and my Native American ethnicity....who am I to compete with such stellar personalities? Besides, I am not bucking to be either a hero or a saint--that was just some drunk's idea for a new thread....

You're in heaven and the booze is lousy. (Said Stephen Jones.)

Now now--I didn't say the booze was lousy, just that you can clean the furniture with it.

"Ravin (may I shorten your name) ? What is a compinche?

Please tell us. We will assume a typo for now. Someone of your credentials would surely not use a word the Oxford Engish Dictionary says does not exist? But I don't mean to give you misery which is why I am so cool. Wink

Did you know my Indian name is Mitch-----as in Mitch Ryder classic rock band circa 1975? Please don't call me a racist. I grew up in a city with an Indian reservation located within it. One of the few I might add. (Granted you haven't said a word.)

And why do refer to yourself in the 3rd person? Wink Don't let your greatness go to your head. Wink Lagerlout-he so amazing,he drink ANYTHING and still walk as far as door. He brilliant and so...smart! I wish my kids be more like him. AHHHHHHH sometimes theres a man. ... Wink

Lout:

The "compinche" post was not directed to you--but to another person who is in Mexico--and "compinche" is a term used here to refer to sidekicks, partners in crime, folks one hangs with (in this case other professors in the same system of universities--of which there are several who regularly post on Dave's.) Not a whole lot of colloquial Spanish words hang out in the Oxford Dictionary....

As I am not a reservation Indian your racism missed its target.

If you consider the mid-70s to be "classic" rock years--and not the mid-50s, you are far to young to be having even a virtual conversation with the Moonraven.
