Hi,
I check up on this site from time to time as it often has lots of useful info.
However, I just read the thread entitled "My Foreign Brothers and Sisters".
There seems to be an issue on weather or not this guy is for real, but before even that - the wise and benevolent members of this branch descended from mount Olympus to grace us with their presence, shower Eca2 with gifts of mockery and generally be a pack of b astard's.
(Towards the end, a few people actually started to give advice so obviously they are mere mortals)
As far as I'm aware, this is a (free) service where people can ask, discuss and give advice about ESL..........but no! Apparently this mans query was not fit for the attention of our branch deities.
This person is IN China right now, and all the abuse in the world wont change the fact that he is not prepared.
So please, next time you see something here that is not done the way you would do it - try to remember that not every one has your omniscience.
This service is VERY helpfull. Try to keep it that way!!

Hi Ifclouds!
Hunt around a few threads going back a while and you'll see that we're mostly harmless and a lot of what looks like dumping is actually lighthearted banter. There have been exceptions, and this is not a rule. More a matter of style. You'll see folks flaming away at each other in the morning and sharing jokes at lunchtime. Rarely do we hang onto it. But thanks for having the guts to call it how you see it.
Now c'mon! Let's go and make some noise! |

Fair nuff folks.
Not sure if eca2 got that though..........
klasies: people may have said what they wanted but it had nothin to do with ESL.
I'm not suggesting a zero tolerance system for keeping people on subject or anything, what I am saying is that eca2 (bulshit-artist or not) asked for advice and got anything but.
Was he stupid for not preparing? - yes.
Does he need advice? - yes
Will pointing out his errors help? - damn straight, but no-one will listen to somebody who mocks them.
Anyway, reading other threads you all seem reasonable etc etc.
Just saw something that pissed me off and needed to vent (so much work to do at the moment that I'm unable to start )
Rant over! |

I''ve got his/her American/Indian CV and am actively following up. All things being equal, he/she has a job.

I mocked him and he's listening to me.

Now let's go get Arioch and Miss Molly. Or should I say Mrs Molly? |

Yeah, a few of us have been privately curious about that. Let's try the direct approach. Hey Elsie, are you Canuklehead? Please tell us in 50,000 words or more. |

It's worth thinking about - four spelling errors in three lines is a new Dave's high. Who's got the time to do an archive check? [nb :your anus]
