I'm here in Mexico City and I saw Guy last week at his office. I believe he's gone back to Canada for like a week to sort out his passport, papers and all that kind of stuff.

hehehe...a promotion to Canada you say?

I bet he doesn't realize how much you all miss him! I think he has been gone longer than a week though judging by the back posts. Last I checked we had internet in Canada too...maybe he was playing hockey and broke his typing fingers.

Once he rose above the ground at Benito Juarez he realized Mexico was no longer the El Dorado he had conned himself into believing it was, and he is currently defending a sub-Arctic oil pipeline from polar bears and terrorists.

Guy has left the building...

Last time ive saw him was a couple of months ago when he visited our school in GDL. The last thing i heard is that he was going to Canada for a couple of weeks.

I heard that he took a temporary job there in Canada as a table dancer (wearing his Acapulco Speedos) to tide him over until he can get through the bureaucratic paperwork processes and finally return to the DF. Only a rumor, mind you. Can't say for sure that it's true.

Well....as we say about rumours in Canada, "where there is smoke, there is usually fire". (hehehe...let this be fair warning to regular posters to never leave the message board unattended for lengthy periods of time)

hey! I heard that rumor too. Amazing it got all the way down to Merida so fast. Just wondering, what DO Canadians put in the G-strings/speedos of table dancers... I can imagine that the loonies and toonies might be a bit unwieldy Laughing Laughing

Hmmm... I think we will have to let Guido answer that question as a) I haven't been back to Canada since the toonie came into circulation and b) I don't wish to incriminate myself.... Embarassed
It does make one pause though, doesn't it?
