Subject: Istanbul
Hello. I saw your post about Istanbul. Now what does the word frugally mean anwyay? I would like to come to Asia (any place where a foreigner can enjoy being) and save money. How much would I make per month, and are the accomodations provided? Although just out of curiosity, where in Asia is Istanbul? Hope to year from ya. See ya.

p.s. Here's your message below.

Just about Asia.

You could get a job with English Time here in Istanbul. There are no checks with regard to legality but you would have to do a visa run every 3 months. If you took all the hours going and lived frugally you could save money. PM me for more details

yes they are. I'm sorry to bore everbody but I'll say it again. Me experience at ET was 4 years ago. ET has moved on and so have I. I ca not comment on ET at the moment because I don't work there nor know anyone who does. Time for you to move on 31.

No, The Crime has not moved on. Move on implies progress which they are definitely not doing. Move down might be better but of course you wouldn`t know.

When I leave The Crime I might be moving on but that is hard to do as there is little career (sic) progression in TEFL.

There is such a thing as progression, but a) there's an element of chance involved (being in the right place at the right time etc) and b) there aren't that many opportunities in Turkey. It's part of the reason I returned to the UK in the first place. Uni positions are difficult to get hold of, mainly because the only way a position comes up is when someone dies Very Happy
My career, such as it was, was on hold for quite a few years after returning: now I find that finally it's taking off - I've just got involved in some research projects, I'm helping to pilot new exams, I'm in charge of a very challenging and potentially exciting programme of courses, combining EFL and ESOL cohorts. And I'm in line for a whopping pay rise! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

If you haven`t worked for either of these places then you and our Crime spokeswoman have been telling porkies.

weird. I tried to do a search of 31's posts but a message came up saying that no topic matched my search. i thought maybe the system was down or something so I tried a search on a few other posters, including myself and they all worked. Confused

Why does everything go wrong for me? When it is me the quote function breaks down and everyone insults me. Now the search function doesn`t work. I tried to search my own posts a while ago but the same thing happened. I didn`t mention it for fear of being humiliated by you lot.

I've tried to search 31's post on firefox and IE, neither work. 31 are you being clever somehow and blocking searches? Out of interest Entrailicus which browser do you use?

I just had a look at their website. It says they are the safest browser on the web. Funny I recently moved to firefox and they made the same claim. i think i have been using it for three weeks now and not one single pop up, so i am happy with firefox(plus you can use the quote function) i am still confused as to why I cant look at 31's past posts. Is it because Dave doesnt recognise him? Laughing

I have done nothing to block my posts. I don`t give a toss who reads them. I am proud of my posts except the drunken ones. Why don`t you just ask me what gem you wanted to re-read.
