I am just asking a curious question because of heard a lot of bad flak about China/Korea/HK. How was dating there. My experience was Japan and I thought it was pretty nice. Why is the dating not as good in those other countries, racism, lack of manners, poverty? Just curious.

Dating in Hong Kong was okay for me. I would just say the girls are more conservative than Japanese girls. They (the HK girls) certainly have/had money when I was living there (1992-1995).

Dating girls in China is a snap....no matter what race or religion you are.

Many are really just after a passeport and a trip to your ome country...but I don't blame them for that.

In Korea, the girls are just out for fun. Best and easiest place to pick up might be in Itaewan where there are tons of foreigners and girls who prefer foreigners. Another place would be Hongdae, where there are lots of University students and a lively bar/disco scene.

Japan? Well you know already.

It's really about what you are looking for.

Ah, yes, the passport issue. Thought that was an obvious one for peopel with not much money, though of course, freedom might be an issue too (for Japanese wives too, the culture can be oppresive for women).

I know this is off topic but Philippines is also a haven for dating.

The Whole Asian Girl/Western guy thing is common place in todays world of interracial dating.

My wife is African Caribbean and boy do we get alot of stares still.
But it is quite amusing!

You should not have any problem in any of the countries in question.
Just be a "good guy" and a gentleman. Too many guys I know have just hurt alot of Asian girls because they were just out for fun, I dont respect the players because no one wants to get hurt.

I agree with playing girls and hurting them....but there are ALOT of asian girls who play two and three western guys at a time too.

And they are faar more experienced than anyone in the west Laughing

Of the countries I've lived in or spent time in:
Thailand, Philippines easiest -but many girls want a ticket out of there and/or your money (you may be a poor teacher but you're still way ahead of a lot of the locals and you're a ticket out of there-and hey, maybe you can make good money elsewhere, maybe your parents have money)
Japan-easy short term, they are interested in you for a whole variety of reasons- except money, that may count against you long term!
Korea-relatively easy. In Korea and Japan women have more financial independence and partly for that reason are easier to date. Conversely, in Thailand and the Philippines it's their lack of money and their societies tolerance of their dating foreigners who do have (hopefully) money that makes it easy to date them.
In Vietnam women are only just now starting to get a little independence and escape from "prison", having to marry young and produce lots of kids. So it is possible to date there, but not as easy as the above countries.
The appeal of us English teachers in these countries is also the expectation that we will treat the women better than the men do in their countries.
A long term relationship in any of these countries is a different matter. Asians are different. Different culture, language, often a different way of thinking it seems. Expect lots of misunderstandings. Expect that you will never know them as well as you think you do. I have friends who are happily married to Asian women from a number of different countries so it can work long term, but I'd say that they are the excepttion rather than the rule.
Don't know much about western women dating Asian men, except that the divorce rate of these couples is sky high and some women don't find Asian men attractive.
