Hey,
Glad to see someone doing some pro-active work by researching hostels. Sounds great for you guys to be meeting on the 8th. Would have been perfect for me but decided to postpone my trip now for few months because my boyfriend is gonna come with. Lucky me!
Still be interested in meeting everyone when we get there tho.
And you guys will have gone through the paces by then and have lots of good advice.
Still, killing me having to wait few months to get out there. But will be worth it when we arrive.. |

|
|
Yoyo...so here's what I've gathered from this forum...if anyone has anything to add that they've found out, please let me know...I'm a bit freaked.
Before I go: Need at least $2000 to be safe, and I can buy a one-way ticket as long as I can prove I have the money to buy a return ticket?
Once there: It's easy to find work and my teaching degree will really help, easy to get a cell, and you can find free internet at a few places (wireless)
Then there's this whole work visa thing...sounds complicated and then I talked to someone who said most english teachers leave the country every three months instead of getting a visa.
I really have no idea what I'm getting into so any insight would help.

if you have a gsm cell phone, just unlock it there and bring it.
so you'll be able to buy just the sim card..cheaper! ^^
(cell phones here are kinda expensive...the service is reeeeeeeally expensive and not good) |
