A great site for anyone interested in the social scene in Qatar. Pretty much created by a group of friends to meet people and introduce people to Doha. It's still in the developing stages, but it has a lot of potential.

This site sucks! It is just a group of amateurs claiming to be moderators and posting a bunch of nonsense. I am sorry but if anyone found something remotely interested in this new site stretch out your legs and just get out of the house, and go out while the lights are on. |

I like how when you click on home it says

Qatar has been called the dullest place on Earth by Lonely Planet, and while we dont agree 100%, we do have to admit that things here can get a little slow sometimes. |
then you click on about Qatar and it says

then you click on coming soon and it says .....wait for it

Appropriate, considering the venue. |

I said the site is just starting. Give it a bit and I think it will be good. Far better than this site, where noone is even willing to give advice about living in Qatar.
Really you people are such a pack of bitter whiners. What is so wrong in your life? Cheer up. |

Also the site is 4 days old and the homepage is still under construction, so visit the forum if you have questions.
Of course you will probably slam that to since all of you are incapable of saying anything nice to people. |

I tried to connect, but I still can't. Do you know why this could be true? |

Nothing wrong with the site, still in its infancy. |

I'm in. Will anyone be bringing any used paperbacks to trade? Let's howl! Maybe a couple of rounds of frisbee --or hackeysack-- to spice things up? |

Yeah, really a good one Rin. Great retort! As if there is a lot of advice for EFL teachers running through this site or that one. No more of where to hang out, or check out those places full of horny ex-pats... Next time recommend something useful for us teachers. By the way, nothing to whine about. I am working my ass off. Nevertheless, I still manage to live a sweet life in company of my wife rather than a bitter one, like you or others alike wrongly assumed.

So where did you really go wrong in your life, my dear? |
