				| I've been searching for jobs in the UAE for awhile now, and have found it nearly impossible to find anything without having at least a Masters. As I was searching a job forum and contemplating the possibility of coming back to Korea (let's hope it doesn't come to this), the following advert caught my eye:

Now, call me a skeptic, but if it sounds too good to be true... well, you know the rest. Also, after pulling up the website, I found it to be something that a 12 year old could make in his/her IT class. Any opinions?

				| Vacation : 14 days plus all national holidays. That's rough and unheard of in these parts.
The website is on a free host. The local telephone number is a cell phone.

 What a riot!

Are those pasty faced, corn fed kids in the photos supposed to be Emiratis? I think the Painseville, Ohio address is actually Federico General Tires.

But seriously, If any legit business can't pony up 80 dollars a year for a website with an @companyname.com Email address, I'd say it's safe to assume it's a scam of some sort, maybe identity thieves. Passport number on an initial application? Proceed with extreme caution.

Check out this link. Someone earlier this month researched this Global Recruitment Dubai.

If you're looking for work anytime soon, may I recommend the kimchi?

				| From the high salary and the appalling English I would say it's a west African scam :
foreigner staffs ; working days Mon - Fri (Friday is a holiday in UAE) ; the work are english speakers ; All Nationality accepted

				| I noticed the moderator removed the ad but in doing so also removed the link.
 I'm reposting the link
 http://www.freewebs.com/globalrecruiter/index.htm
and hope it stays for two reasons
 1. The website is so cheesy it's hilarious. Lavender butterflies? First season SNL funny.
 2. I hope this post gets spidered by Google so that anyone else who researches the school or agency follows the search engine listing to this warning: Global Recruitment UAE is not a legitimate business.

The bad guys may also be aware of this buzz. Since yesterday, they have added a sound file that doesn't play and removed the reference to the non existent Deira Homeland School. And while I'm typing in key words for search engines, I'd like to add Rashid Abbas Global recruitment, maids needed, nannies needed, sex slaves, Dubai scam.

Thanks to the OP for flagging this ad.

				| That is pretty bad. Horrible English all throughout. Did you note that they say that hospital cleaners get over US$500 a WEEK??? The name of the hospital was Manly Hospital. That made me laugh... is there any hospital with a name like that in the UAE? (is there also a Womanly Hospital?)
The slaves that they pull in with that one will be lucky to get that in a month or two or three...

				| HA! A little levity before the school year starts is a good thing.

Yes, I'm sure Global Recruitment is aware of this buzz. I just went to their guest book. Nine satisfied customers have endorsed them--all nine made the endorsements at exactly the same time. http://www.freewebs.com/globalrecruiter/guestbook.htm

				| Haha, I posted in their guestbook... take a look! Check it out!!!
Yeah their hospital ad is ridiculous:

 $2,000+ for cleaners
 $3,000+ for drivers
 $8,800+ for lab technicians

 per MONTH.

Those are closer to YEARLY salaries for those jobs, than to monthly salaries.

 And look at this one:

 ,Computer Operators,drivers,english speakers,Esl Teachers .

salary pays around $2500 to $4000 per month (No agency fees)
 |
 YEAH RIGHT!!!

I am going to apply seriously and play with them and then hopefully expose the scam with some proof/evidence.

They've turned off their guest book page.

				| Well, I've got to admit I was fooled. I first contacted these people 2 or 3 weeks ago. I got the following e-mail response back I believe the same day I first contacted them.

It's funny he said I had several applications because I had only just sent my resume into him.

I sent them my info immediately. I gave these people my passport number, my e-mail address, my visa number here in Saudi Arabia plus my next of kins address in the US and my address here in Saudi Arabia. The very same day I sent these people my information I got the following e-mail:

	  | Quote: |
	  | From/ Atika Language School, Dubai, U.A.E.

We have today received your resume attached with your letter of application and interview conducted on our behalf by Global Recruiters.

After going through the submissions, we are satisfied and will be sending to you your letter of employment and contract working details.

Urgently revert to us on reciept of this e-message.

 Yours faithfully,
 Alzubra.
 | They mentioned an interview but no one ever interviewed me! Then, the next day they sent me a job offer.

 | They attached a job offer for $56,800 per year plus food and transportation allowances and said I would have Saturdays and Sundays off. There was a scribbled signature of a supposed HR Manager for the language school on the "Employment Agreement".

I e-mailed the supposed language school owner with lots of questions about the job and below is his reply. Notice how there is no contact phone number.

 | Also, a friend just e-mailed me today another ad from this recruiter that was found on a Korean job search website. I re-emailed the recruiter and asked them about this new position but have received no response. Notice how the name of the recruiter changes this time from an Arabic name to an apparently British one.

I hope nothing bad comes out of this. Now I understand why my questions were not answered when I thought I was e-mailing the language school they supposedly hooked me up with. What do you think they will do with my information? I never called that number they told me to call to get my visa paperwork rolling.

Good of you to add your detailed experience to this post--let's hope the Google bot spiders your post and references more search terms and names.

				| Since you have already provided some information, it might be useful for you to pursue and see what their next step is... one would think that soon enough they will be asking for cash... or your US bank account number to do direct deposit of your salary. (err... NEVER give this out to any organization)
Of course they may be following this site too and would be on to you...

				| Maybe we should all submit horrendously bogus CVs and then ask them for their bank account information (I do this w/ nigerian spammers now and again for fun). | |
